Smokers Lookout

Crag faces east

Bouldering and toproping

Introduction

Another of the seemingly endless number of Sutherland micro crags! This crag offers somewhere in the vicinity of 20 boulder problems (up to V5) and 15 established top rope routes (up to about grade 27). The crag is located within Royal National Park, so please take care of the place (in particular, stick to the existing tracks, pack out all your rubbish and clean up any chalk marks before leaving). Note also that the developers do not want bolts placed at the crag.

Access

To get to the crag, park at the end of Gore Avenue Kirrawee, and follow the track down to the creek, then up and left for 10 to 15 minutes until you reach a 7 foot high boulder. From here follow the faint track up the hill for another 30m or so to the top of the cliff. The first area you come to offers a bit of bouldering and soloing, but further along the cliff is a large boulder that's the highlight of the crag.
