Introduction

Would almost be worthwhile if it had some holds! Quarry Reserve is located in the middle of Johnston Ave, Maroubra and has two nice looking walls about 10m wide and 4m high. Unfortunately they are both dead blank. Despite rumors of chipped routes, there doesn't seem to be any trace of them. A mix of glue-in carrots (bring bolt plates) and U bolts have been installed for abseiling anchors on the platform above the highest walls. The local SES is next door and occasionally use these for practice. For locals it would be a better spot than Queens Park for this sort of thing. Keep an eye out for dog crap, broken glass, and non-conforming members of society after sunset.

Access

Park at the end of Johnston Parade and hop the fence to be right on top of the highest walls.
