Bluff Minor

Introduction

Located directly west of Bluff Mountain this compact group of crags has a fascinating collection of walls, ribs and slabs, one of which, on the left (facing) is like Breadknife east face. This is Finders Keepers Wall. There is some confusion as to the location of this crag, however it does not match "Bluff Pyramid" as suggested in the 1994 guide.

Alley-Oops 8 100m
The obvious arete at the north-eastern end of the bluff (the left end of F.K. Wall). Rather broken at half-height but does have a strong finish
Fat Freddy 6 40m
A fair descent route, coming as it does under F.K. Wall. Smooth Wall is the next to the right
In descent, Joe Friend, Sept ' 1976
* Spitten Image 17 55m
You may well see your own reflection in Smooth Wall! The sort of thing which can make or break a soloist! START: Below the broken block at the right hand end of the grey wall. A wandery 'line' which heads up steeply left.
Joe Friend, solo, Sept' 1976
Forever Flying 16 70m
The right hand end of the bluff holds some dynamic surprises! START: Under the big coloured overhang. The right-hand route. The roof is a little friable but is true Spartan-style material.
